Developmental Anthropomotorics follows on course Basic of Anthropomotorics. Developmental Anthropomotorics provides to students deeper knowledge in concepts of human motor development body composition physical fitness, physical performance etc… considering human ontogeny from toddler period to eldery age. The main emphasis is put on aspects which influence structural as well functional parameters of individuals regarding phenotype.
Aim of the course -
Last update: doc. PhDr. Martin Musálek, Ph.D. (19.09.2020)

The aim of course is to acquire skills necessary for determination of break point in human motor development along with its importance in different periods of human life. After passing this course students will be able to interpretate associations between motor and physical development from toddler to adolescent period. Students will also acquire competencies in diagnostic of fundamental motor skills, motor competencies and in assessing of physical activity considering its specifics for different age categories. In addition, students will be able to use different methods for assessing of biology maturity status of individuals during pubescence. Aforemetioned knowledge and skills prepare students to be master in evaluating of motor development from toddler to adolescent age with considering of other important variables (biology, age, amount of MVPA activity, disposition from family anamnesis for non-standard motor development)

Presentation topics for term

1. rudimentary movements

2. physical activity volume and intensity in relation human ontogeny

3. fundamental motor skills (FMS) - protocols for assessing of FMS its validity and reliability for different age bands

4. Motor performance /abilities the testing protocols its validity and reliability for different age bands

5. Physical fitness the testing protocols its validity and reliability for different age bands

6. Anthropometry in human ontogeny

7. Body composition - practice of selected methods, specific of body composition regarding to human ontogeny

8. Evident Obesity versus normal weight obesity

9. Somatotyping - common and specific population - tool for somatic disposition in sport environment

10. Skeletal robustness

11. Weight/height indices its usefulness

In 14 practical seminars students will come into real measurements. They will acquire skills in measuring of variety of anthropometry parameters necessary for estimating body fat, lean, skeletal robustness. Further students will have to show that they are able to analyze and interpret collected data.
