Beginners’ course: German language teaching aimed at general language competence skills acquisition (listening, speaking, reading, writing), corresponding to A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Depending on on the initial level of the participants’ language knowledge and speaking skills the teacher is entitled to start the tuition at a higher language level, e.g. at the preintermadiate or intermediate level (A1.2 – A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Credit requirements

  • Regular attendance at seminars. 2 lesson absences within a semester are tolerated. To compensate for the 3rd and 4th absence at a lesson, the student will be given substitutive assignment by the course teacher. 5 or more absences do not meet basic requirements for being granted credit, the only exception being individual study scheme.
  • Written coursework test

1. Explanation of the course work scheme - work concept of the lessons. Associations sharing with the words “Germany“ and “German“.

2. Specificity of German language. Pronunciation practice. The structure of main and depending clauses - position of the verb phrase and subject.

Running practice of speaking skills based on the textbook structure, regular consolidation of acquired grammar and sentence structure elements, systematic vocabulary enlargement in every lesson.
