The course is intended for students specializing in the field of gymnastic sports and serves as preparation for future careers as gymnastics coaches with a specialization in a chosen gymnastic discipline. The course establishes a comprehensive framework of key knowledge and skills essential for a future professional career in the field of gymnastic sports. The structure of the course includes lectures and practical exercises, with an emphasis on acquiring theoretical knowledge of kinesiological and physiological aspects of sports preparation in gymnastic sports. In terms of skills, there is a focus on developing professional competencies, particularly related to planning, recording, and evaluating individual components of sports preparation in gymnastic sports.

The aim of the course is to prepare students specializing in gymnastic sports for a future career as a coach with a specialization in a specific gymnastic discipline. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive framework of key knowledge and skills necessary for successful and professional practice in the field of gymnastics.

Upon completing the course, students will:

Understand and be able to explain the specifics of performance in a specific gymnastic sport in the context of kinesiological and physiological aspects, using examples.

Know and be able to utilize various forms of performance diagnostics in a specific gymnastic sport in practice.

Define and explain the principles and limitations of evaluating competitive gymnastic performances, using examples.

Know and be able to use the principles, methods, and techniques of planning, recording, and evaluating the content and parameters of sports preparation in a specific gymnastic sport in practice.

Describe, explain through examples, and create procedures for training various coordinatively demanding gymnastic skills implemented in a specific gymnastic sport.

Use professional terminology specific to a particular gymnastic sport in practice, and understand and explain the limitations of the activities of a coach in a specific gymnastic sport.

Participation in classes must be a minimum of 85% of the total subject hours.

Presentation of the outcomes of the final thesis.

Active participation in OPVŠ, ČAH, and other competitions.
