The course is designed for students specializing in the field of gymnastics, serving as preparation for a future career as a gymnastics coach with a focus on a selected gymnastic discipline. The course provides a framework for acquiring key knowledge and skills essential for a future professional career in the field of gymnastics. Attention is also given to the issues of research in gymnastic sports and their practical applications. The course includes lectures and practical exercises, with emphasis placed on gaining theoretical knowledge in the realm of sports training for specific gymnastic disciplines and the development of professional skills.

The objective of the course is to provide theoretical knowledge, skills, and practical experiences encompassing a broad spectrum of activities for a coach specializing in a specific gymnastic sport. The course aims to develop the necessary professional skills for successful coaching, particularly in the specialized training phase.

Upon completing the course, students will:

Understand and be able to explain the specifics of performance in a specific gymnastic sport in the context of the content of individual components of sports preparation, using examples.

Describe and explain different approaches to the didactics of gymnastic skills, using examples.

Effectively utilize qualitative and quantitative methods of motion analysis, especially for the purpose of didactic interventions.

Understand and explain the physical aspects of implementing gymnastic activities and skills, using examples.

Understand and explain the significance of music-movement education with regard to its importance in the structure of performance in a specific gymnastic sport, using examples.

Be able to prepare and organize gymnastic competitions.

Be capable of proposing measures in the areas of injury prevention, safety of gymnastic exercises, and ethical considerations in coaching.

Participation in classes must be at least 85% of the total subject hours.

Completion of a seminar paper on an assigned topic.

Active participation in practical training sessions, theoretical seminars, and other competitions.

Introduction, organizational guidelines, technology of performance in gymnastic sports.

Technical fundamentals of movement.

Analysis of motor activities (measurement and evaluation of movement parameters).

Specifics of sports preparation in individual gymnastic sports.

Physical aspects of sports technique and their application in individual gymnastic sports.

Regeneration in sports training.

Music-movement preparation in individual gymnastic sports.

Staging of sports preparation in individual gymnastic sports.

Creation of competitive programs, organization of competitions.

Management of sports preparation in relation to material and technical security.

Legal aspects of performance in individual gymnastic sports.

Concluding seminar.

Practical Training Content:

1-7. Didactics of individual disciplines or skills in relevant gymnastic sports.

8-10. Practice of assistance and rescue during the acquisition of selected skills.

10-14. Practical demonstrations of the implementation of individual parts of a training unit in specific gymnastic sports.
