The aim is to introduce the basic chapters of orthopedics and traumatology and to present the latest news in these fields. Selected typical patients in relation to subsequent physiotherapy will also be demonstrated.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:
- demonstrates knowledge and is able to describe the etiology, pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of orthopedic and traumatological diseases
- is equipped with basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in orthopedic and traumatological diseases
- demonstrates basic orientation in imaging methods and laboratory methods used in orthopedics and traumatology
- understands the principles of management in orthopedic and trauma departments
