During this course, you will build on your practical strength and conditioning knowledge by learning lab-based testing techniques and how to use them to compliment commonly used field-based testing.

To obtain credit for this course, you must attend all of the above-mentioned labs and assist in teaching at least 5 labs total in NSCA Fitness, which is offered to BS students.

Syllabus -

Specifically, this course includes hands-on training of:

1. 30-15 intermittent test, maximal speed, acceleration, and maximal aerobic speed

2. 1-repetition maximum testing and muscle endurance testing

3. Isometric and isokinetic dynamometry

4. Linear position transducers

5. Isometric mid-thigh pull, other force plate measurements, and reactive strength index

6. Tensiomyography

7. Oxyplex - tissue oxygenation

8. Muscle architecture via ultrasound (if equipment is available)
