Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject acquaints students with the nature of pedagogy as a science and leads to the acquisition of contemporary pedagogical terminology. Attention is paid not only to the basic categories of general pedagogy, but also to selected issues of the teaching and educational profession, the Czech educational system and its perspectives in the European context.

Students will learn contemporary pedagogical theory, basic terminology and structure of the field. It will use the knowledge to assess different views on pedagogy and further studies.
