The course is based on the current reality of our schools and educational institutions and emphasizes the practices that teachers can apply in their daily practice. Attention is paid to the essential theoretical issues of violence and bullying with emphasis on the causes of their existence in children's groups. Specific methods of prevention and strategies for dealing with bullying are discussed in detail, as well as the reasons for the failure of preventive and repressive procedures. Issues are also targeted for orientation in the field of institutional forms of assistance.

Předmět vychází ze současné reality našich škol a školských zařízení a klade důraz na postupy, jež může učitel ve své každodenní praxi uplatnit. Pozornost je věnována podstatným teoretickým otázkám násilí a šikanování s důrazem na příčiny jejich existence v dětských kolektivech. Podrobně jsou probírány konkrétní metody prevence a strategie řešení šikany, příčiny selhávání preventivních a represivních postupů. Problematika je také zacílena na orientaci v oblasti institucionálních forem pomoci.

Course Objectives:
The learner will characterize the possible causes of violence and bullying in children's groups.
The student will analyze model situations, demonstrate knowledge of strategies for detecting bullying, and propose an appropriate course of action to address bullying in children's groups. Recognize and describe the risks of impact on the main actors of bullying and the whole collective.
Demonstrate knowledge of prevention strategies and institutional forms of support.
Learning outcome:
Prevention - students
- explain and justify the need to prevent violence and bullying (not only in the school environment),
- argues the process of forming a crisis plan for dealing with bullying in school.
Diagnostics and solution options - students
- distinguishes bullying from other risky behaviours by example,
- proposes options for dealing with bullying in a children's group, argues for the choice of a course of action,
- compares the differences in the procedure for clarifying bullying in its different stages.
Competence to deal with bullying in the school environment - students
- specifies the possibilities and limits of intervention in dealing with bullying for teachers, school counselling centres and other institutions,
- proposes and describes a procedure for dealing with a classroom in which bullying has occurred,
- proposes and argues a procedure for dealing with bullying with the legal representatives of the bullied, the bully and the whole class collective.

Cíle předmětu:
Studující charakterizuje možné příčiny vzniku násilí a šikany v dětských kolektivech.
Analyzuje modelové situace, prokáže znalost strategií odhalování šikany a navrhne vhodný postup řešení šikany v dětských kolektivech. Rozpozná a popíše rizika dopadů na hlavní aktéry šikanovaní i celý kolektiv.
Prokáže znalost preventivních strategií a institucionálních forem pomoci.
Výsledky učení:
Oblast diagnostika a možnosti řešení
Studující
na příkladu rozliší dle základních znaků šikanování od jiného rizikového chování,
navrhne možnosti postupu řešení šikany v dětském kolektivu, argumentuje výběr postupu,
porovná odlišnosti v postupu objasňování šikanování v jeho různých stadiích.
Kompetence k řešení šikanování ve školním prostředí
studující
konkretizuje možnosti a limity intervence při řešení šikany pro učitele, školní poradenské pracoviště a další instituce,
navrhne a popíše postup práce se třídou, ve které se šikana vyskytla,
navrhne a argumentuje postup řešení šikany se zákonnými zástupci šikanovaného, šikanujícího a celého třídního kolektivu.
Oblast prevence
studující
objasní a zdůvodní nutnost prevence násilí a šikanování (nejen ve školním prostředí),
argumentuje proces utváření krizového plánu řešení šikany ve škole.

Předmět má 2 kredity dle ECTS, celková časová zátěž studenta odpovídá 50 hodinám. Doba očekávané přípravy na 1 hodinu semináře 30 minut, samostudium literatury (za celý semestr) 10 hodin, práce se studijními materiály (za celý semestr) 10 hodin, plnění průběžných úkolů (za celý semestr) 20 hodin. Příprava na zápočet 6 hodin.
