The subject has 2 credits according to ECTS, the total time load of the student corresponds to 50 hours. The expected preparation time for 1 meeting is 60 minutes, self-study of the literature (for the whole semester) activities with a diverse group of children and youth and the ability to reflect on the value-based principles of pedagogical action. It creates the prerequisites for connecting theoretical knowledge with the practical application of pedagogical and ethical principles, thanks to which the graduate of the course can provide methodical guidance to other pedagogical workers. The course is mainly focused on the social dimension of free time time and its content. Objective: The student is able to define the goals and forms of education in pupils' free time, master the basic terminology of free time pedagogy, name the pedagogical principles of free time activities and relate them to the design and implementation of specific contents of free time activities.

Studenti používají terminologii obecné didaktiky v kontextu zájmových činností (Valenta, operacionalizovaný cíl/ jádrová činnost, principy OSV: praktická, zosobněná, provázející ; Jirásek, prožitek/zážitek, holistická výchova; Jonassen, Land, Mareš, Pelikán, Jirásek, Holec, Neuman, učební prostředí akcentující žáka pedagogizace prostředí - přímé a nepřímé výchovné působení; Vygotský, Křivohlavý, zóna nejbližšího vývoje; Csikszentmihalyi,Flow/stres/ nuda; Kolb, Hanuš, Drahanská, zkušenostní učení, reflexe, formativní hodnocení, konstruktivismus ve výuce, Čáp, Mareš, Kalhous).  .

Interpretují aktivitu/hru jako metodu ve vazbě operacionalizovaný cíl (afektivní, psychomotorická, kognitivní doména cílů)

Argumentují smysl pedagogické diagnostiky skupiny pro nastavení bezpečného výchovného kontextu aktivit (situace pro sociálního učení na úrovni eustresu). Porovnají možnosti sociální motivace (potřeby skupiny; referenční rámec skupiny) jednotlivce se situací skupinové dynamiky (též v souvislosti s cíli rozvoje kompetence spolupracovat)

1. Leisure pedagogy as a scientific discipline (subject, relation of pedagogy to other sciences, structure of pedagogy, historical concept of leisure pedagogy).
2. Introduction to the issue of health promotion and prevention of pupils' diseases at schools (the potential of leisure activities in strengthening pupils' health).
3. Structure of the time fund, content and functions of free time, time management.
4. Free time and personality formation (the role of individual aspects of free time in education).
5. Social dimension of free time (undesirable forms of student behavior, prevention of risky behavior at schools, social media and free time).
6. Profession of free time pedagogue (areas of activity, personality requirements, competences).
7. The specifics of the activity of a free time pedagogue in individual institutions (out-of-school education perspectives).
8. Positive education and pedagogical principles of leisure activities.
9. Systemic approach to free time pedagogy.
10. Offers for "unorganized" free time, recreation and recreology.
11. Legislative regulation of youth work in the Czech Republic.
