The subject is based on social-psychological theories and strives to connect the knowledge of basic and applied research with the solution of questions and problems relevant to the field of education. It focuses on several selected areas that are beneficial to the Health Education study program and are related to pedagogical practice. Students are supported in critical thinking based on knowledge of social-psychological concepts so that they can use these skills for a more thorough understanding of selected phenomena that they will encounter in their practice.

The aim of the subject is to familiarize with the current development of knowledge in areas relevant to education. Students will strengthen their skills to work critically with academic texts and deepen their knowledge in selected areas as a follow-up to the basic social psychology course.

The subject has 2 credits according to ECTS, the total time load for the student corresponds to 58 hours. Expected preparation time for 1 hour of seminar 15 minutes, self-study of literature (for the whole semester) 10 hours, work with study materials (for the whole semester) 7 hours, completion of ongoing tasks (for the whole semester) 9 hours. Creating a seminar paper 5 hours. Preparation for the examination 10 hours.
