The course is focused on the basic definition and terminology of research, which will apply in solving the thesis. The course develops students' abilities to set goals thesis, choose adequate procedures and methods of research, consider the nature of the outcomes and benefits event. possibilities of using the results. It acquaints students with the preparation of mixed design research with a focus on quantitatively oriented research, research sample options and basic methods of data collection and processing.

The aim is to understand basic pedagogical researches, to master basic concepts and methodological procedures of research surveys, to recognize aspects of quantitative and qualitative research, to understand their diversity, to wash inappropriate methodological procedures for their own final work.

1. A quantitative and qualitative approach to the acquisition and processing of data, the question of hypotheses and their testing.

2. Field of  data collection, data processing.

3. Inspection of the results and their processing, interpretation of the results.

4. The basics of descriptive statistics.

5. Computer programs for statistical data processing.

6. The formal regulation of professional texts, including the bibliographic citations, and in accordance with the applicable standards.
