Předmět je zaměřen na zopakování a systemizaci základní hudební terminologie v anglickém jazyce v oblasti konstrukce nástroje, jeho vývoje a techniky hry.

Syllabus

1. Bases of notation with English terminology. Names of notes in different European languages (latin alphabet, solmization).

2. Major and minor scales. Church and folk modes.

3. Intervals. Chords - triads an sevenchords with their inversions.

4. Non-harmony notes. Harmonic functions and basic harmonic cadences.

5. Survey of musical instruments. Their constructions, ways and techniques of playing.

6. Musical forms.

7. Basic terminology concerning construction of instrument, its history and methodics of playing.
