Chamber orchestra play is a necessary complement to individual learning. It fosters a sense of harmony, contributes to a harmonious and rhythmic feeling and also to the development of musical intellectual abilities. It is a collective activity, so the player's attention must not be focused solely on his own performance, but the player is still to evaluate the value of his voice in relation to the others. Playing in a chamber orchestra leads the student to a conscious, creative artistic discipline, enriches his musical thinking about the perception of harmonic polyphony, extends the knowledge of musical literature and overall influences the individual aesthetic development of the student. It leads to creative cooperation, suppressing negative competitiveness. Participating in the overall musical result, presentations at the faculty and university concerts, getting to know the orchestra's organizational operation - all this is an important motivating factor for the future study and work of a versatile music teacher. The Chamber Orchestra of the Faculty of Education of Charles University is intended only for string instruments players.
