The aim of the course is to provide students with an insight into the development of German drama from the 17th century to the present. By each of the epochs not only the specifics will be presented, important is also the contribution to the development of German drama and the relevance to contemporary drama. The subject was innovated as part of the Program of Comprehensive Innovation of Pre-graduate Teacher Training at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, funded by the Education Policy Fund for 2014. The main form of the seminar is not only interpretation of texts. Attendance at the Prague German Language Theater Festival is also regular. The first part of the seminars and lectures, which follows the literary disciplines of the bachelor studies, is devoted to the theoretical interpretation of developmental tendencies in German drama in the context of overall literary development and against the backdrop of European political and spiritual events. The second part of the seminars will deal with modern drama from naturalism to postmodernity and analysis of concrete examples from contemporary stage acts. Content of the seminar: Aesthetic acquisition and analysis of selected dramatic works. Developing communicative skills in relation to literary and cultural topics. Basic overview of contemporary theater. To follow various ways of actual interpretation of classical works in the Czech Republic and abroad. The course will be continuously supplemented with a number of current on-line materials on the website of the Moodle e-learning system.

Cílem předmětu je zprostředkovat studentům navazujícího magisterského studia germanistiky vhled do vývoje německého dramatu od 17. století po současnost. U jednotlivých epoch nepůjde jen o představení jejich specifik a přínosu pro vývoj německého dramatu, ale i o sledování jejich relevance pro současnou dramatickou tvorbu. Předmět byl inovován v rámci projektu Program komplexní inovace pregraduální přípravy učitelů na Pedagogické fakultě Univerzity Karlovy v Praze financovaného z Fondu vzdělávací politiky pro rok 2014. Hlavní formou semináře bude nejen interpretace textů, ale i rozbor ukázek zaznamenaných na médiích, či analýza aktuálně uváděných představení. Pravidelná je rovněž účast na Pražském divadelním festivalu německého jazyka. První část seminářů a přednášek, která navazuje na literární disciplíny bakalářského studia, je věnována teoretickému výkladu vývojových tendencí v německém dramatu v kontextu celkového literárního vývoje a na pozadí evropského politického a duchovního dění. Druhá část seminářů se bude zabývat moderní činohrou od naturalismu k postmoderně a analýzou konkrétních příkladů ze současné jevištní praxe. Obsahové zaměření semináře: Estetické osvojování a analýza vybraných dramatických děl. Rozvíjení komunikativních dovedností ve vztahu k literárním a kulturním tématům. Základní přehled o současném divadelním dění. Sledování různých způsobů aktuální interpretace klasických děl u nás i ve světě. Kurz bude průběžně doplňován řadou aktuálních on-line materiálů na webu e-learningového systému Moodle.

Das Seminar will knapp, übersichtlich und allgemeinverständlich die Entwicklung des deutschen Dramas seit dem Barock bis zur Gegenwart beschreiben. Die Auswahl der behandelten Epochen und Themen richtet sich nach deren Relevanz für das Gegenwartstheater. Sie beginnt mit dem Barocktheater und führt über das Theater des bürgerlichen Zeitalters bis zum Drama des 20. Jahrhunderts, wobei das Theater der Weimarer Republik oder die Entwicklungen in Ost und West nachgezeichnet werden. Den letzten Abschnitt bildet das Drama seit den 90er Jahren mit dem postdramatischen Theater. Theoretische Überlegungen zu Drama und Theater werden ebenso einbezogen wie regelmäßige Theaterbesuche mit anschließender Besprechung. Im Zentrum des Interesses stehen Theatertexte von Bertolt Brecht, Elfriede Jelinek, Thomas Bernhard, Max Frisch oder Christoph Schlingensief u. a.
