Cílem kurzu je seznámit studenty s nejnovějšími poznatky teorie narativního diskursu a narativní pragmatiky a zároveň jim přiblížit vybrané aspekty konstrukce fikčního světa, jak se s ním setkáváme v postmoderní fikci a fikci směrů na postmodernu navazujících (postpostmoderna, metamoderna, hypermoderna). Důraz je kladen nejen na zvládnutí teorie, ale i na analýzu vybraných literárních děl v kontextu německy psané a evropské literatury, poznatky z narativní pragmatiky umožní studentům lépe porozumět tomu, jak literární texty chápou žáci a studenti, což přispívá i k hlubšímu pochopení didaktiky literatury.
