The aim of the study subject is to present the issue of the formation of intercultural competence in the teaching of foreign languages through the teaching of realities. The content is the presentation of the basic terminology of the didactic theory of realities, which is a necessary foundation for a closer examination of geography-oriented didactics. The issue of acquiring the realities of the target foreign language with an emphasis on the German language is presented from both a synchronic and a diachronic point of view, because in order to understand the role of the didactics of the realities, it is necessary to know the historical and social factors that have most influenced this area of foreign language education in the past and in current teaching.

Cílem studijního předmětu je představit problematiku formování interkulturní kompetence v didaktice cizích jazyků prostřednictvím výuky reálií. Obsahem je pak představení základního pojmosloví teorie didaktiky reálií, jež je nezbytným fundamentem pro bližší zkoumání zeměvědně orientované didaktiky. Problematika osvojování reálií cílového cizího jazyka s důrazem na jazyk německý je prezentována jak ze synchronního, tak i diachronního hlediska, neboť pro pochopení role didaktiky reálií je třeba znát historické a společenské faktory, které právě tuto oblast cizojazyčné edukace nejvíce v minulosti a i v současné výuce ovlivňují.
