dr. Vítek - The course is intended for students whose language level is A2 (according to CEFR). With its topics, the seminar helps the students to broaden their vocabulary and to develop their language skills so that they can achieve A2+/B1 level of their language proficiency (dr. Markvartová). The topics: aspects of German culture (geographical, political, historical etc.) and lifestyle (students’ life, lifestyles, living in a shared flat, food, travelling etc.). Students will be able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. They will be able to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. They will be able to produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. They will be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. This course is taught in German.
