This course introduces to students the main problematics of common health promotion strategies at school and among the community. The class is based on a holistic concept of health. Students will independently prepare projects suitable for implementation in school educational programs and in community life as a result of this class.

Students will be designing, assessesing and presenting their school and community health and safety promotion program for schools and for health promotion among the community. They will be getting an overview of school and community projects in the Czech Republic and in the countries of the European Union. Students will define the basic principles of mastering the methodology of project creation and the processing of applications for financial support of school and community projects.

The subject has assigned 4 credits according to ECTS framework. The total time load for the students corresponds to 105 hours per this course. Expected preparation time for 1 lecture is 15 minutes, for 1 practical lecture is 25 minutes, self-study of literature (for the entire semester) will be approximatelly 12 hours, and the work with study materials (for the entire semester) 9 hours. Completion of ongoing tasks (for the entire semester) will be 19 hours. Creating a seminar paper will consume 25 hours. Preparation for the classified exam will take 8 hours.
