The course is based on a holistic approach to health and provides basic knowledge of health psychology. Attention is paid to different approaches to human health phenomenon, selected theories of health and disease are presented. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the issue of stress, incl. stress management process. Personality and situational factors influencing the course of stress reaction are analyzed in detail.

The aim of the course is to introduce basic knowledge of psychology of health and mediate deeper and broader view of psychological factors that play an important role in health and illness.

Z důvodu mimořádných opatření bude kontaktní výuka předmětu nahrazena on-line kurzem v LMS Moodle - krátký název předmětu: OPBY2P110A (přihlašovací klíč obdrželi zapsaní studenti e-mailem). V této souvislosti se mění i požadavky ke zkoušce: nebude-li možné realizovat zkoušku prezenčně (formou rozpravy nad písemným testem), bude nahrazena on-line zkouškou.
