The aim of the course is to familiarize the audience with the issue of education and correction of behavior patterns of people who can be observed to have differences from the point of view of socio-cultural norms in psychological development and social relations. The audience will gain an overview of the biopsychosocial causes of behavior disorders and the basic problems of etopedics, as a special pedagogical discipline. They will also receive information about selected methods of etopedic work and the characteristics of the institutions in which this care is implemented. Students will also gain basic theoretical insight into the primary prevention of risk phenomena in the school environment. Attention will also be paid to the issue of social and legal protection of children, the institutions of social and legal protection of children and their role in the education system of a child with a diagnosed behavioral disorder. Furthermore, the subject of discussion will be basic information about institutional and protective education, facilities for its implementation, legislative changes, forms of substitute family care. The course will consist of the following topics: 1. Etopedia and its place in the system of pedagogical and other scientific disciplines. 2. Definition of basic terms in the field of behavioral disorders. 3. Breakdown of behavioral disorders and their classification. 4. Solutions for institutional and protective education in the Czech Republic. 5. Facilities for institutional and protective education. 6. Current legislation on institutional and protective education and preventive educational care in school facilities. Substitute family care. 7. Institute of social and legal protection of children, bodies of social and legal protection of children and their role in the education system of a child with a diagnosed behavioral disorder. 8. Primary prevention of risk phenomena in the school environment in relation to behavioral disorders. Prevention system in schools and school facilities. 9. Social prevention services in relation to the problem of overcoming an unfavorable social situation and eliminating the emergence and spread of socially undesirable phenomena. 10. Definition of basic terms in the field of addiction. 11. Classification of addictive substances according to ICD-10. 12. Minimizing the health and social risks of people addicted to addictive substances.
