Students will acquire an overview of the pillars and approaches in the support of individuals with mental disabilities in the context of psychosocial and cognitive peculiarities of MP. After successful completion of the course, they become familiar with international terminology, etiology of mental disability, classification, and trends. The aim of the course is to develop critical, independent thinking in students, and to describe changes in the position of people with mental disabilities in society, their causes, and consequences for the theory and practice of special education and other helping professions. Part of the lesson will be discussions in groups on specific questions.

Studenti si osvojí přehled o východiscích a přístupech v podpoře jedinců s mentálním postižením v kontextu psychosociálních a kognitivních zvláštností MP. Po úspěšném ukončení kurzu si orientují v mezinárodní terminologii, v etiologií mentálního postižení, klasifikaci a trendech. Cílem předmětu je rozvíjet u studentů kritické, samostatné myšlení, vystihovat proměny postavení člověka s mentálním postižením ve společnosti, jejich příčiny a důsledky pro teorii a praxi speciální pedagogiky a dalších pomáhajících profesí. Součásti výuky budou diskuze ve skupinách k určeným otázkám. Kurz bude tvořen následujícími tématy:

SPPG - Člověk s mp 2023 – dílčí studijní témata 

 

1.    Paradigma postižení – medicínský, sociální, bio-psycho-sociální model resp. ekologický model, předsudky a stereotypy vztahující se k MP.

2.    Inteligence, definice mentálního postižení v historické perspektivě a v současnosti, vymezení MP podle AAIDD, MKN, Klasifikace MP, trendy v klasifikaci; měnící se pojmosloví. 

3.    Incidence a rozložení MP v populaci, etiologie mentálního postižení.

4.    Downův syndrom, etiologie, psychosomatické zvláštnosti a z nich vyplývající doporučení pro praxi.

5.    Postavení člověka s postižením, resp. s mentálním postižením v právním řádu ČR: lidsko-právní východiska, vzdělávání, zaměstnanost, sociální sféra - sociální služby

6.    UN CRPD, strategické dokumenty ČR týkající se postižení a orientace v hlavních tématech – vzdělávání, deinstitucionalizace aj.

7.    Psychosociální, edukační specifika mentálního postižení, aplikace do praxe.

8.    Komunikace, vybrané metody a prostředky

9.    Podpora zaměřená na člověka/individuální plánování – východiska a strategie.

10. Trendy a milníky ve vzdělávání žáků s MP ČR od 90´let 20. století

 

The course will consist of the following topics:
1. Paradigm, disability and the changing position of a person with an intellectual disability in society in an international context, facilitators of change; implications for theory, practice and research.
2. The concept of mental disability (terminology, classification, etiology).
3. Legal status of a person with a disability or with mental disabilities, human-legal dimension.
5. Psychosocial, educational and communication specifics of mental disability.
6. Starting points, principles and selected strategies for supporting people with mental disabilities, quality of life, quality of support.
7. Current issues related to the education of pupils with mental disabilities.
8. Selected personalities and their contribution.

Vypracování zprávy z analýzy stavu implementace o právech se zdravotním postižením OSN v kontextu života osob mentálním postižením dle zadání.

Získané znalosti budou ověřeny písemnou examinací formou on-line testu. Zkouška proběhne v určené učebně fakulty na vlastním zařízení studenta s funkčním internetovým připojením.
