The course deals with the issues of school discipline and student problem behavior. Selected types of problem behavior are described in more detail, factors contributing to children aggression are discussed, and relevant theories are introduced. The course also acquaints students with interventions and strategies used to prevent and manage student problem behavior in schools.

The goal of the course is to 1) acquaint students with historical, social, and theoretical background of student school problem behavior and 2) present variety of interventions and strategies used to prevent and manage student problem behavior in schools.
