The diploma thesis seminar acquaints the students with elementary methods and techniques of diploma thesis writing. The
course provides information on the preparatory stage of thesis writing, on the use of scientific literature, on the preparation of
a detailed outline of the thesis, on the selection of research area, on the formulation of problems, on the setting of the aim of
the work, on the formulation of hypotheses, on the choice of research methods and techniques of data collection, on the
time schedule of the work, and on the deduction of concrete and practical conclusions. The concrete problems of the
particular diploma thesis topics are dealt with in the office hours of individual thesis leaders.

Diplomní seminář seznamuje studenty se základními metodami a technikami psaní diplomové práce. V obecné rovině
podává základní informace o přípravné etapě zpracování diplomové práce, o orientaci v problematice, práci s literaturou,
sestavení projektu, vymezení oblasti bádání, formulaci problému, stanovení cíle a formulaci pracovních hypotéz, výběru
metod bádání a technik sběru empirických dat, o stanovení časového harmonogramu práce, rozboru materiálu a
vyvozování praktických a teoretických závěrů. Konkrétní problémy k jednotlivým tématům různých diplomových prací jsou
řešeny v rámci konzultací se stanovenými vedoucími prací.
