Základním cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty s počítačem podporovanými měřícími systémy a s možností simulace
fyzikálního prostředí a jevů. Počítač je součástí měřícího a řídícího řetězce. Úvodní seznámení se systémy ISES, CASSY,
LabVIEW, aj. Podrobněji je prezentován systém ISES na fyzikálních, chemických, resp. biologických experimentech. Na
systému LabVIEW je ukázána silná flexibilita díky graficky programovacímu jazyku LabVIEW for Windows. Do měřících
systémů se zapojil i Internet. Studenti se aktivně seznámí s možnostmi vzdálených měření a řízení po Internetu. Tvoří
vlastní úlohy typu remote experiments a remote sensing. Školní experimentální systému mají v současné době i podporu
videokonferencí. I tyto možnosti jsou demonstrovány se studenty ve školních laboratořích. Kromě vlastní technologie se
studenti seznámí s didaktickými možnostmi aplikace ve výuce.
