The aim of this course is to acquire basic knowledge of teaching practices in health support area. The workshops provides for practical application of teaching skills. The student will be able to implement the programmes of community projects for children and the youth. The students use the knowledge about the school counseling department, facilities of the social network (crisis centers, children clubs, shelter for asylum seekers etc.). The students intern in some educational facilities, they help distinguish various problems, suggest on prevention programmes and early intervention.

Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire basic didactic procedures specific to the area of comprehensively conceived health promotion. Seminars create space for practical use of didactic skills of students in creating programs for children and youth within the framework of school and community projects. The seminars provide space for reflecting on prepared programs and discussing youth work in the field of health promotion and prevention of risky behavior. The course combines knowledge of didactics of health education for primary and secondary schools.

1.Implementation of health support and cross-themes in the school curriculum at primary and secondary schools.
2.Basic resources and general procedures in preparation of health and social preventive programmes at primary and secondary schools, and the cooperation of the relevant departments in the region.
3.Reflection of these programmes and further discussion (working with the youth in the health support area and prevention of risk behaviour).
