Requirements to the exam -
Last update: Ing. Bc. Alena Váchová, Ph.D. (26.01.2024)

The requirements are based on the assumption that the student has already thought through the topic of his/her thesis, including the research part, and also has a thesis topic entered into SIS.

Active participation in the seminar at least 50%.

Completion of all assignments given for the course in Moodle and submission of them by the predefined deadline (it is necessary to obtain a minimum of 60 pts. in each continuous assignment). All assignments are mandatory and completion is required for credit. If all assignments are not submitted in Moodle by the due date or the student does not earn a minimum of 60 pts. on each continuous assignment, he/she will not meet all the requirements for successful completion of the course and will have to re-enroll in the course the following year!!

For serious reasons, students may request in writing (by e-mail) to postpone the assignment to another date before the given deadline for submission to Moodle. The student is required to submit the assignment on a different date.

The student will write and submit the credit work, which will include the following parts, by the predetermined deadline:

1. The student will define and write the title, goals, methods, and basic ideas of his/her thesis and describe why the thesis could be beneficial to educational practice.

2. The student will submit 10 standard pages of coherent text related to the topic of his/her thesis.

3. The student will list and attach the research instrument(s) (questionnaire, guided interview questions, observation conditions...) that he/she will use in the research part of his/her thesis.

4. The student will test the chosen research method on a selected sample of people.

5. The student will process the results and evaluate whether the chosen research method and the prepared research instrument will help him/her to meet the objectives of the thesis.

6.The student will present a list of information sources used that meet the standard ISO 690.

The student will submit all assignments by the predetermined deadline in one complete Word document with the DP header!
