The subject aims to make the broadly applicable knowledge of current social psychology available to the students. The course is based on the positions of the social-cognitive paradigm and leads the students to learn a systemic approach in psychology. The focus of the subject consists in the issue of social perception of persons and functioning of social groups. It broadens and deepens the knowledge of psychology of group life, group structure, group behaviour, group standards, group atmosphere, group characteristics, group classification. An emphasis is put on the application possibilities of the social-psychological knowledge in the practice of a health education teacher.

Požadavky ke zkoušce - zkouška má 2 části:

1. část - odevzdání seminární práce dle sdělených požadavků a úspěšné obhájení seminární práce (v případě neúspěchu je možné postup opakovat pouze 1x) .

2. část - písemný test (min. úspěšnost 75 %)

1. Overview of social-psychological terms and theories.

2. Theory of social perception, concept "person perception".

3. Group creation, membership, group centre, group identity, language, group dynamism, social learning.

4. Challenging, stressful and conflict situations, techniques of coping with challenging life situations.

5. Conflict and cooperation, group processes, social-psychological aspects of behaviour in large groups.

6. Family and school as a social group, self-promotion in group and social life.

7. Psychological (self-)manipulation and media.

8. Possibility to apply selected methods and techniques of social psychology when dealing with macro- and micro social issues.
