The course consists of two parts. In the first part, the students are introduced to different educational institutions and then they plan and realize their internship in a selected educational institution. They use the theoretical findings they learned about in their previous study. They make a portfolio that describes targets of their internship, introduces the institution and compares it to similar institutions abroad. In the second phase, both teachers and the students themselves give critical assessment of individual students based on the portfolio presentation and form recommendations for further educational work.

The aim of this course is to introduce to students different educational institutions. Students use their knowledge and skills acquired during their study and try to display professional educational performance

Preparation for internship - choice of institution, setting goals and internship schedule

 

    • examples of institutions - The Research Institute of Education in Prague, Institute for information on education, Czech School Inspectorate, institutions for adult education, pedagogical-psychological counselling centre, basic schools, upper-secondary schools, institutions for leisure time activities etc.

 

    • Conducting Internship - length of internship at the chosen institution: min. 20 hours, making portfolios

 

    • Analysis of internship - presentation of students' portfolios at seminars, analysis of students' educational performance, formulating recommendations for further educational work
