The course focuses on the classification of basic knowledge about research methods used in psychology and pedagogy and on their creative use in mathematics education and in the teaching of mathematics. A substantial part of students' work will be the elaboration of a research proposal, its realisation and the elaboration of a research report. Due to the time limit, the prevailing methodology will be that of action research as its results can be implemented in practice.

The goal of the course is to orientate in basic methods of research in mathematics education and be able to propose, realise and evaluate an experiment.
