The course introduces the concept of children's rights and its starting points in the philosophy of rights, child psychology and its pedagogical application. It provides an evaluation of the state of implementation at the level of education policy in the Czech Republic, as well as in international comparison. It deals with model situations in the child's life.

1.     Contemporary conception of the rights of the child (basic human rights documents, genesis of the rights of the child, historical stages of the development of the child's knowledge and childhood, specifics of the rights of the child).
2. Basic knowledge of the constitutional order of the Czech Republic.
3. Convention on the Rights of the Child - 3P principles, Optional Protocols to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, socio-ecological model.
4. Application of the Convention on the Rights of the Child to the legal system of the Czech Republic: Convention on the Rights of the Child and family law. Solving model situations in the child's life.
5. Application of the Convention on the Rights of the Child to the legal system of the Czech Republic: Convention on the Rights of the Child and social and legal protection of children. Solving model situations in the child's life.
