In this course students help in conducting research on important contemporary research topics in education. Students can apply their previous knowledge and skills in conducting research and further develop these skills through direct experince with working on research projects under the supervision of a researcher/researchers.

The aim of the course is to develop students´ skills in coducting research that would allow them to conduct (empirical) educational research and publish the results in (international) peer-reviewed journals.

  1. Planning a research project.
  2. Submitting grant proposal, preparing the proposal.
  3. Journals in educational research: databases, studying international literature, reviews and their creation.
  4. Conducting research: sample selection, data collection, ethics in educational research, data anylsis and interpretation.
  5. Writing a paper or research report.
  6. Publishing in periodical literature: selection of appropriate journals, citations, review process.
