The course introduces the basic concepts of social pedagogy and social work in a historical context and in the present. It presents the philosophical and religious basis of social work, the historical development of the field in the world and in our country, analyzes the relationships between social policy, social work and social pedagogy. It deals with important current paradigms and theories of social work (humanistic, existential, systemic, cognitive-behavioral, antiopressive, sociobiology approach). Methods and techniques of social pedagogy and social work are analyzed in detail (prevention of social failure, provision of counseling, social activation, streetwork, crisis intervention, groupwork, case management, work with family, community work, volunteer work, supervision in social work, evaluation of social effectiveness). programs).
