The course provides an orientation in the content and theoretical definition of adult education, provides the basis for understanding lecturers and participants in education, deals with the analysis of practical experience with various forms of teaching and methods in adult education.

  1. Adult education, basic terms and definitions, andragogy, androdidactics, lifelong learning. Formal, non-formal and informal learning. Professional base and andragogical research.
  2. Participant in adult education, his educational needs and motivation, diagnostics of learning approaches. Typology of problem participants and communication with them.
  3. Lecturer of further education, personal prerequisites, competencies, qualification standard.
  4. Types and areas of further education (civic, hobby, vocational). Adult education institutions eg private organizations, businesses, schools, NGOs.
  5. Structure and design of adult education lessons.
  6. Pedagogical-psychological background and specifics of adult education.
  7. Specific methods of adult education, didactic principles. Games for adults.
  8. Internet resources in adult education, MOOC, online courses, analysis of benefits and limits.
  9. Model situations in adult education, their reflection and analysis.
