The course brings selected current topics of education, which appear in the current professional discourse in the Czech Republic, or. even abroad. Topics selected mainly for the pedagogical practice of regional education and out-of-school educational and upbringing facilities are selected. The aim of the course is to orient students in current issues of regional education and educational policy. Students will learn to look at the issues discussed from different perspectives and create qualified professional opinions on them. 1. Current professional and lay discourse on education. 2. Current problems of regional education. 3. Education and schooling in the media. 4. Selected current topics and their conceptualization. 5. Critical reflection of discussed topics.
