The course is focused on the issue of health promotion through targeted modification of human lifestyle. The determinants of human health and especially its risk and protective factors are analyzed in detail. Special emphasis is placed on salutogenic lifestyle factors and on the possibilities of their systematic support. The starting point is the most common health disorders of modern man and their probable causes. Attention is paid to the most common causes of failure in fulfilling the principles of a healthy lifestyle and ways to eliminate them. The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge of a healthy lifestyle and support their motivation for positive changes in health-relevant behavior. Content definition: 1. Basic information about the Health 21 program. 2. Health and disease, basic determinants of health. 3. Rational nutrition. 4. Healthy lifestyle in individual stages of life. 5. Diseases of civilization. 6. Influence of physical activity on human health. 7. Level of physical activity of the population of the Czech Republic, movement recommendations as a means of prevention of diseases of civilization. 8. Physical activities programs to promote health.
