The course acquaints students with the specifics of writing a professional text. The course is based on the current knowledge of the participants of the previous course Work with professional text I, which includes orientation in functional styles and text genres, the ability to critically analyze and interpret the whole spectrum of professional texts. The course results in the development of the ability to create a professional text that is formally and content-wise adequate in style. The content is focused on the practical activities of the participants connected with the writing of their own professional text. The aim of the course is to develop students' advanced skills of working with professional text with a focus on writing. Content definition: 1. Professional text and its types. 2. Structure of professional text. 3. Compilation, comparison, review, abstract, annotation. 4. Critical reading of a professional text. 5. Text, its coherence and functional styles. 6. Analysis of professional text and joint creation of abstract. 7. Citation ethics.
