The course brings selected current topics of socio-pedagogical theory and practice, which appear in the current professional discourse in the Czech Republic, or. even abroad. Topics selected mainly for the pedagogical practice of regional education and out-of-school educational and upbringing facilities are selected. The aim of the course is to orient students in the current issues of broadly understood social pedagogy with an overlap into the pedagogy of leisure time. Students will learn to look at the issues discussed from different perspectives and create qualified professional opinions on them. 1. Contemporary professional and lay discourse in social pedagogy and leisure pedagogy. 2. Current socio-pedagogical problems of regional education. 3. Education and schooling in the media. 4. Selected current topics and their conceptualization. 5. Critical reflection of discussed topics.
