Course aim: Comprehensive preparation of Russian studies undergraduates for their teacher profession and/or for a corresponding specialized profession from the point of view of their mastering practical Russian language. Apart from the complex language training there is also emphasis on knowledge of Russian cultural, economic and social background. |

Course summary: Lexical skills are perfected in close relation to syntax. Complex development of language skills, the development of oral skills through discussions and talk shops. Orthography and punctuation phenomena practiced together with more profound and complex development of written expression skills.
Topics for oral and written practice: 5th semester Leisure time. Entertainment. Theater, cinema, concerts, exhibitions. Important theaters in Moscow and in our country. Music. Visual art. Hobbies and interests. Important festivals, feast days. Sociocultural knowledge: punctuality, the behaviour of audience during public performances or ceremonies.
