The course focuses on theoretical principles of constructivist and constructionist approach to computer-oriented subjects (Informatics, ICT, Computing, Computer technology, etc.) in primary and lower secondary school education. The great attention is paid to Seymour Papert´s ideas and his successors (Mitchel Resnick, Ivan Kalaš, Jenny Sandova, etc.) who develop his ideas under a platform of LOGO culture. The course is dedicated to methodological approches to development of computational thinking, computing and algorithmic thinking of primary school pupils using for example Scratch, WeDo etc. Main topics: (1) Basic concepts: Constructivism, Constructionism, logo culture, computational thinking; (2) Introduction to Scratch programming, WeDo, etc. (3) Constructivist and constructionist approaches to the curriculum of computer-oriented subjects in the Czech Republic and abroad.

El curso desarrolla el concepto de la didáctica como una teoría del arte de enseňar  y entendimiento de los principios teoréticos del constructivismo y construccionismo en la enseňanza de las asignaturas de Informática y tecnologías digitales. La meta del curso consiste en comprender profundamente y saber aplicar los principios del construtivismo y construccionismo en la asignatura de Informática, eventualmente Computación o Tecnologías Digitales.

The exam is focused on:

1) verifying knowledge and skills how to apply constructivist approaches based on LOGO culture to teaching algorithmic and computational thinking of children.

2) presentation of final project developed in Scratch.
