Pragmatics as a linguistic discipline. Linguistic turn, positive and negative face, implicature, presupposition, speech acts, cooperative and politeness principle, manipulative communication. Development of pragmatic skills.

Kurz bude zaměřen na ucelený popis pragmatiky jako lingvistické disciplíny. Z teoretických východisek bude zmíněn obrat k jazyku, vysvětlena bude terminologie (pojmy negativní a pozitivní tvář, implikatura, presupozice aj.) a metodologická východiska (teorie mluvních aktů, kooperační a zdvořilostní princip komunikace, manipulativní komunikace atd.). Zaměření kurzu bude zčásti také praktické, vztažené k rozvoji osobních pragmaticko-komunikačních dovedností.
