The aim of the course is to introduce students to the main concepts of both traditional syntax and dependency grammar and to define sentence as a basic unit of communication. The topic of the course is the analyses of the function in communication and structure of communicative sentence types and the describtion of clause constituents viewed in the perspective of both traditional syntax and dependency grammar.
