Mission of the course on Computer Graphics is to develop the student's eligibility for the use of already acquired knowledge and user skills in computers in the direction of their creative activity, respectively. professional creativity in work mainly graphically oriented materials and documents. The aim of the course is to achieve the student's understanding of the principles and methods of processing graphic data on the computer, develop their skills for work with image data to a computer, including the choice and mastering of the equipment or programs for working with graphics and understanding their functional specifications and options. The course is geared to enhance the user's knowledge and skills and complete mastery of basic work with image data and the use of graphical information, computer assisted learning, different ways of acquisition, adaptation and creation of graphical information on getting to know the possibilities and ways of using the selected graphics editors, graphical tools and workshops and other specialized programs for adjusting the parameters of graphic files, capture video, draft diagramming and mind maps, working with digital photos and graphic presentation of information.

  • Computer graphics, types and characteristics of computer graphics.
  • Sources graphic data, raster graphics, vector graphics, color depth, bit depth, resolution, ways to work with computer graphics.
  • Characteristics of bitmap and vector-based graphics editors, browsers characteristics, graphic workshops and tools, support programs, specialized programs.
  • Work with bitmap editor. Program and its available tools and functions, editing bitmaps, user settings, work with layers, import, archive files, conversion.
  • Work with vector editor. Program and its available tools and functionality, special features and use of effects, traces of bitmap graphics, user settings, work with layers, styles and templates, import, symbols and images archives, export, printing.
  • Other ways of working with graphics. Using of graphics programs for editing and converting graphic files, capture image masters, optical character reading, capture screen content, creating animated gif sequences, digital photo editing and printing photos.

Klasifikovaný zápočet je udělen na základě kvality zpracování úloh zadaných na poslední hodině, případně v dále vypsaných termínech během zkouškového období. Úlohy jsou orientovány na ověření úrovně osvojených dovedností a znalostí, v rozsahu odpovídajícím obsahu výuky. Pokud studující u KZ neuspěje, má možnost nejvýše dvou opravných termínů (celkem tedy 3 pokusy).
