The course Problems of Gifted Child´s Education introduces gift education as a branch of pedagogy as it is understood within an international scientific context. It approximates a general development of gift studies, from definitions of gifts and talents, through professional bases toward system of education, like: identification of talents by a psychologist and a pedagogist, typical manifestation of behaviour and learning, possible kinds of education and educational interventions at homogenous or heterogenous educational arrangements. In the practical part of studies the students will be acquainted with interventions carried out for gifted students in our state, they will obtain ideas about the shape of an individual educational plan, they will also be acquainted with problems of family with a gifted child, and with support possibilities given to this group of children out of school framework. The subject also introduces organizations and institutions focused on support of gifted children both in the field of research and education or leisure time activities, and in the field of consultancy. For obtaining credits the students will prepare a practical project of education about a gifted pupil at the inclusive educational environment, e.g. a lesson with upgrading, IEP, case report, etc. Final project has to be approved by the lector.
