Specificity and expressive possibilities of intaglio printmaking techniques. Exercises and experimentations in intaglio techniques : dry point, etching, mezzotint, softground etching, reservage etching and their combinations. Intaglio printmaking techniques, their basic development. Analysis of important periods and works in the history of printmaking. Editions and cycles. Authorship and its specific aspect in printmaking art.
