The main aim of the course is in is in response to the knowledge of physics, mathematics, engineering and information technology to contribute for develop of the student's ability to look on information technology in all their complexity and with links to deeper regularities. The course presents a systematic approach to problems and account of solutions to common problems by the use of information and communication technologies, not only in their own field of information technology.Students will be acquainted with the basic principles of operation of technical equipment and its functional units, which are controlled by the information management systems.

The theoretical part of the course focuses on the development and comparison between analogue systems and automated systems, controlled by specialized computer. The content of the practical part of the course lies in primarily an application of computer technology in data collection, data visualization, process control and measurement of traffic management equipment, measurement and data collection using computer technology and subsequent processing by adequate software tools.
