The mission of the course graphic communication in technology is to provide students the theoretical knowledge and practical skills relating to the processing and creation of technical documentation and prepare them for the use of graphic communication in the field of technology and technology for the subsequent development in this direction in other vocational subjects. The primary aim of the course is to acquaint students with technical documentation and its types in different industries, to learn to read technical documentation and drawings to create simpler originals. The secondary objective of the course is oriented to the creation of technical documentation with a focus on ways of working through the program means for creating technical documentation and modeling, editing environments based on 2D, respectively. 3D visualization via a CAD system.

Posláním studijního předmětu Grafická komunikace v technice je poskytnout studentům adekvátní teoretické znalosti a praktické kompetence týkající se zpracování a tvorby technické dokumentace a připravit je tak pro využívání grafické komunikace v oblast techniky a technologií i pro následný rozvoj v tomto směru v dalších odborných předmětech. Primárním cílem studijního předmětu je seznámit studenty s výkresovou dokumentací a jejími typy v různých odvětvích průmyslu, naučit je číst technickou dokumentaci a vytvářet výkresy jednodušších předloh. Sekundární cíl předmětu je orientován do oblasti tvorby technické dokumentace se zaměřením na způsoby jejího zpracování prostřednictvím programových prostředků pro tvorbu technické dokumentace a modelování, editačních prostředí orientovaných na 2D, resp. 3D zobrazení a prostřednictvím CAD systémů. Předmět se tudíž orientuje na osvojení příslušných vědomostí, dovedností a adekvátních metod při využívání, zpracování i tvorbě kompletní technické dokumentace, a to jak tradičními, tak i soudobými prostředky.
