The Aim of Fundamentals of Computing Systems Architecture is to improve student's skills for further study of branch ICTs subjects, to give them basic knowledge from the field of technical equipment of Personal computers and to follow past knowledge to reach and improve student's branch skills reading of specializes computer literature and for verbal Communication in this field.

Poslání studijního předmětu Úvod do architektury počítačů spočívá v pochopení architektury a konstrukce počítačů PC, poznání principu činnosti jednotlivých základních částí PC, jejich specifik a funkčních možností, resp. rozvinutí příslušné způsobilosti pro studium odborné počítačové literatury a osvojení si různých způsobů získávání a využití aktuálních technických informací a dat v daném oboru. Úspěšné zvládnutí předmětu Úvod do architektury počítačů je nutnou podmínkou pro studium dalších návazných předmětů.
