The aim of the subject is to present the organization and management of school system, especially of schools and school management, including the legal Framework, legal condition for providing education and services. The subject includes the basic introduction into the role of head teachers, teachers and educators at schools and school facilities. A special emphasis is put on the legal and organizational system of education at all levels (school, a municipality, a region etc.) from the point of view of the teachers and educators. The subject includes the basic orientation in all the important aspects of educational system. 1. Legal framework of educational system (acts and implementing legal regulations, terminology, principles and goals of education, Framework educational programmes, School educational programmes ; practical examples) 2. Schools and school facilities; the basic element of educational system (Legal status of schools and school facilities, organization of schools and school facilities, public and non-state education) 3. State administration and self-government (head teacher, founders and competencies of founders, basic elements of school management) 4. A teacher and an educator (Prerequisites for performing activities of pedagogical workers, professional qualification, direct education function, further education and the career scheme, open competition) 5. Budged of schools, financial management of schools and school facilities 6. Nursery and basic education 7. Education developing personal interests 8. Secondary and Tertiary professional education 9. Education of children, pupils and students with specific educational needs and school advisory facility 10. institutional education, protective education and preventative educational care at schools and school facilities 11. The objective of the course is to introduce students to the structure and management of education from the perspective of education workers at all levels. It is focused on skills development of young education workers, their ability to analyse problems and apply the knowledge gained on the course to their pedagogical work and decision making, even if not in management positions.
