The aim of the course is to introduce students to interdependence of books and theater and film of the 20th century and some of the key figures of theater and film. Attention is drawn to the current repertoire of theater and film scene (adaptation of works of German written literature in Czech theaters and cinemas). The content of the subject can be summarized into the following problem areas: 1. Creative postulates of theater and film in comparison with the literary text. 2. Narrative of literary, theater and film texts. 3. Analysis of specific authors and works, comparison of literary and theater or film versions of texts. Special attention is paid to 20th century art texts. (S. Zweig, F. Durrenmatt, M. Frisch, G. Grass, J. Becker, U. Plenzdorf). In the field of literature for children and youth, the seminar focuses on the works of M. Ende and W. Herrendorf. The extension part is an excursion to filmmaking created in the Czech-German context. The course also includes a visit to selected theatrical performances within the framework of the "Prager festival der deutschen Sprache", one theater performance in Czech and a screening of the film festival "Der Film".

Předmět byl inovován v rámci projektu Program komplexní inovace pregraduální přípravy učitelů na Pedagogické fakultě Univerzity Karlovy v Praze financovaného z Fondu vzdělávací politiky pro rok 2014. Cílem předmětu je uvést studenty do problematiky interdependence knihy a jiných médií zprostředkujících literární texty, seznámit je s vybranými kapitolami vývoje divadla a filmu 20. století a s některými ze stěžejních osobností divadla a filmu. Cílem kurzu je rovněž podle možností upozornit na aktuální repertoár divadelní a filmové scény (adaptaci děl německy psané literatury v českých divadlech a kinech). Obsah předmětu lze shrnout do těchto problémových okruhů: 1. Tvůrčí postuláty divadla a filmu v porovnání s možnostmi literárního textu. 2. Narativ literárních, divadelních a filmových textů. 3. Analýza konkrétních autorů a děl, porovnání literární a divadelní nebo filmové verze textů. Pozornost je věnována zejména uměleckých textům z 20. století. (S. Zweig, F. Dürrenmatt, M. Frisch, G. Grass, J. Becker, U. Plenzdorf). Z oblasti literatury pro děti a mládež se seminář soustředí na tvorbu M. Endeho a W. Herrendorfa. Nadstavbovou částí je exkurz do filmové tvorby vzniklé v česko-německém kontextu. Součástí kurzu je i návštěva vybraných divadelního představení uskutečněného v rámci akce "Prager festival der deutschen Sprache", jednoho divadelního představení v češtině a návštěva promítání v rámci filmového festivalu "Der Film".

To complete the course it is necessary to continuously work on assigned homework.

Short introductory presentation (group work) to the discussed films (5 minutes) with materials for the whole group.

Protocol from a visit to a theater performance (max 2 pages). Deadline for submission: the first week of January 2020. Method of submission: in printed form and electronically.

 
Additional work if the above conditions are not completed: Essay on one film based on fiction, 2 - 3 pages, or essay on a selected chapter in the history of German, Austrian, Swiss drama, 3-5 pages. Essays will be written in German. Last possible submission date: (1/31/2020) in printed form and electronically.

Aktivní úcast na seminářích (75%)
K absolvování kurzu je nutné průběžně pracovat na zadávaných domácích úkolech.

Krátká úvodní prezentace (skupinová práce) k probíraným filmům (max. 10 minut) s namnoženými podklady pro celou skupinu.

Protokol z návštěvy divadelního představení (max 2 strany). Termín odevzdání: 13.12.2017 (= první pokus zíkání zápočtu).

Druhý pokus: Esej o jednom filmovém zpracování literární předlohy. Rozsah 2 - 3 strany. (do 13.1.2019)

Třetí pokus: Esej z vybrané kapitoly dějin německého divadla divadla. Rozsah 3 - 5 stran. Poslední možný datum odevzdání: (do 27.1.2019).

Způsob odevzdání: v tištěné podobě a elektronicky.
