The aim of the course is to introduce the problems of the history and development of German historical novel since the 19th century by means of several well-known examples. The course deals with topics based on the authors´ biographies, presented on the historical background of their work. After illustrating these pieces of knowledge, reading several chosen chapters of these works will follow.
